On Jan. 26, Longwood University junior guard/forward Dayna Rouse, pictured at left, poured in a career-high 31 points in a loss at University of South Carolina Upstate. Just seven days later, Rouse bettered that individual performance with her second 30-point game in a three-game span, as she finished with a Longwood Division I-era record 34 points, along with the go-ahead three-point play in the game’s final 20 seconds, to propel the Lancers to an 85-79 overtime win over visiting Gardner-Webb University on Saturday afternoon. The win was Longwood’s second of the season.
