Hearing for Leviege set Feb. 26

A court hearing for Malcolm Deon Leviege, who received an arrest warrant after being found carrying a weapon at Longwood Village Jan. 27, is scheduled for Feb. 26.
The Prince Edward County General District Court is scheduled to hold the hearing at 1 p.m.
Leviege received charges of assault and battery, and brandishing a firearm 3+ offense.
Longwood University officials sent an email to students Feb. 18 citing that Leviege “unsuccessfully attempted to contact a Longwood student.”
Leviege, who was arrested Jan. 30 in Prince William County but has been released on bond, is banned from all Longwood University property and police are actively monitoring campus.
