Division Spelling Bee held

Each year, Buckingham Elementary School and Buckingham Middle School conduct classroom and grade level spelling bees. Winners from these spelling bees go on to participate in the school spelling bees at each school. Once the top winners from the two schools are determined, a Division Spelling Bee is held in January of each year. This year the Division Spelling Bee was held On Jan. 19. Eight-grader Chance Woodson is this years winner. This makes the fourth time Woodson has won the division spelling bee in his school career and has represented the division in the regional Spelling Bee held at the Library of Virginia in Richmond. The second place winner was Bailey Gentry, a third-grade student from Buckingham Elementary School.
