Charles Edwin Flint, 66 of Cumberland, VA passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2019. He was born and grew up in Potsdam, New York to the late Cecil C. and Elizabeth Hilts Flint on June 18, 1952. He served his country in the US Air Force where he was stationed overseas as a Russian translator. He then received an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice.
Upon his return home he married the love of his life Mary Meissner on August 9, 1975. In the early eighties they left NY and came to Virginia where they have resided ever since.
Charlie was a true “Jack of all trades”, there was almost nothing he couldn’t do or fix. To know Charlie was to love him. He would never leave you without a joke (or 3) and a smile. He was always willing to help anyone in their time of need. The pride of his life was his children and grandchildren and he lovingly and sacrificially cared for his wife Mary.
