Students from elementary schools across the state will experience the joy of making music together in this year’s All Virginia Elementary Chorus. Fuqua School students in fifth grade auditioned and were chosen to participate in this annual performance. Students will work with a master conductor, perform a varied repertoire of quality choral literature, and increase their knowledge of vocal skills. The performance will be Saturday, April 6, at Harrisonburg High School in Harrisonburg. The following Fuqua School students who earned this distinction are pictured, from left, Isabella Thompson, daughter of Edward Slowe and granddaughter of Cynthia Thompson of Drakes Branch; Mackenzie Hearn, daughter of Alan Hearn and Jessica Wickizer of Farmville; Elle Franssen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Franssen of Farmville; Nathan Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Davis of Farmville; and Grace Furman (alternate), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Furman of Cumberland.
