Risk management and liabilities for landowners

The Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting a breakfast meeting for landowners in Amelia, Nottoway and Prince Edward counties. The meeting will cover landowner risk management and liabilities. Several scenarios will be discussed as well as the risks associated with them and how to minimize your liabilities as a landowner. Examples include employing farmworkers or allowing people to hunt or fish on your property.
The meeting will be held Jan. 9, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Crewe Volunteer Fire Department, located at 1105 West Virginia Avenue. Breakfast will be provided free of charge. Register by Friday, Jan. 4.
