Illyria Theatre Company presents Santaland Diaries

Published 4:04 pm Tuesday, December 11, 2018

Yes, Virginia, Illyria Theatre Company is back with a hilarious holiday production that’s guaranteed to have you laughing up your Christmas cookies. It’s David Sedaris’ hit show, “The Santaland Diaries” at Wygal Hall on Dec. 13-15 at 7 p.m.

It’s Christmas, and the out-of-work actors of New York City are lining up for those holiday gigs. One particularly desperate fellow sees a want-ad for Macy’s department store looking for elves to populate the magical Santaland, and he instantly finds himself at the forefront of a moral dilemma: stay broke, or go Elf-himself.

You won’t want to miss this snarky and hilarious glimpse into the world of a 30 something, jaded Macy’s department store elf played by real life LA-based actor, Wyn Moreno, as he regales the audience with tales of his experiences and shenanigans while on the job. Full of fun music, dancing, lip-syncing, candy canes and all that elf-ed up kind of goodness, this is the can’t miss event of the year.
