Diane Bowen Senger, 67, of Buckingham, VA, died peacefully Wednesday. November 28, 2018, at her home attended by her husband, Daniel M. Senger lll. She was born June 27, 1951, the only daughter of Virginia and James Bowen. Diane grew up in Farmville, VA, where she acquired a lifelong love of animals, flowers, and people. Diane enjoyed intelligent conversation, books, and creative needlework. Her effervescent humor and her willing smile were hallmarks of her life. Diane graduated from the Southside School of Nursing, and she is remembered throughout the community for her thirty-five years of commitment to nurture patients with skillful care and love.

Diane is survived by her husband, Daniel M. Senger III, daughter Alana Witt, a son, Daniel M. Senger IV and his wife Jennifer, and her caring and devoted brother, Bobby Bowen.

A friendlier person no one has met. Her quick run into WalMart took several hours. She stopped to admire babies, converse with anyone needing a smile, and catching up with friends. When Diane answered the phone, “Hello Darling” was the first words to be spoken. Diane was loved, and devoted to her family.
