“Last year we did it in-house, it was just us,” event organizer Louis Gould III said of the card-making endeavor. “But this year we wanted to open it up to the public.”

The card-making event took place from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Barbara Rose Johns Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library.

Gould said the goal was to make 200 cards this year, and that goal was met, with people involved in the event surpassing that number in the latter stages of Sunday’s session.

Many of the cards will be going to Trinity Mission of Farmville and The Woodland.
