Concord Baptist Church is holding a Lottie Moon spaghetti supper Dec. 9 at 5 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. Dinner includes spaghetti, garlic bread, drinks and moon pies. Meal is served by donation. A program will follow the meal. Proceeds will be going toward international mission programs. The church is located at the intersection of Francisco and Deer Run Roads in Sheppards.

The 4-H Christmas Crafts Day will be Thursday, Dec. 20, from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. at the Buckingham Ag Center for youth ages 5-13. Make various crafts when rotating through stations throughout the day and enjoy a holiday movie in the afternoon. Teen leaders are welcome and needed for Christmas Camp and for Christmas Crafts, and may participate in a leadership role at no charge. The Buckingham County Library has ongoing weekly activities. Mondays from 5-7 p.m. enjoy special teen activities. Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., the library has pre-school story time. Thursdays from 3:30–5 p.m. join after school activities for students ages 6-12. Fridays at noon, family movies are shown. Come out for all the fun. The library is located at 1140 Main St., in Dillwyn.

Buckingham Horticulture Department has poinsettias for sale at Buckingham High School. Choose from pink, white, or pink variegate varieties. Plants are wrapped and with a bow. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the blessings so richly given to us all. Everyone has something for which to be thankful. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of good food and boundless gratitude.
