NOVEMBER 25

MENS DAY OUT, 3 p.m. for the men’s ministry of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Dillwyn. Chris Lewis, St. Joy Men’s Chorus, Mt. Olive Men’s Chorus, Cumberland, and the Faith Redemer’s Chorus will perform. Collecting canned goods, non-perishable food items, hats, and coats to be given to families over the winter season.

GUEST PREACHER, 11 a.m. will be the Rev. Reverend Robert Waker of Rice, at Forest Baptist Church of Meherrin. All are welcome to attend.

ANNUAL FALL RALLY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church. Special guests will be the Rev. Damion T. Batts, Pastor of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Blackstone. Refreshments will be served.

ANNUAL CHOIR DAY, 3 p.m. at The Old Green Creek Baptist Church. Various choirs will be performing.

REGULAR MEETING, 11 a.m. of the Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors in the conference room of the Prince Edward County Natural Resources and Agricultural Building, located at 100 Dominion Drive, Farmville. The public is welcome.

HOLIDAY SALE, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts. During the event there will be an ugly holiday sweater contest and a Design in Craft raffle with various prizes.

DECEMBER 1

WINTER WONDERLAND WORKSHOP, 10:30 a.m. in the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts at the intersection of Third Street & Main Street in historic downtown Farmville. This program is free and open to the public.

PORTRAIT PAINTING IN OIL WORKSHOP, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. sponsored by Central Virginia Arts, upstairs above Mainly Clay, 217 N. Main St., Farmville. The workshop is open to the public. Those interested should contact Deborah McClintock at (434) 223-8322.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR, 9 a.m-1 p.m. at MacCallum More Museum and Gardens, Chase City. Crafts, food and more.

JAYCEE’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE, 2-4 p.m., downtown Main Street in Farmville.

NATIVITY IN ART, 3 p.m. at Hampden Sydney’s Atkinson Museum, sponsored by Central Virginia Arts by Barbara Rothermel from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. The lecture is free and open to the public.

COMMONWEALTH CHORALE, 3 p.m. will present Johan Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio at College Church, 418 College Road, Hampden-Sydney. Free of charge.

There will also be a craft table to create a free seasonal ornament. Throughout the evening, there will be opportunities to join in holiday-themed songs.

OUTDOOR LIVE NATIVITY, 7 p.m. at Hobsons Chapel, 6483 Old Buckingham Road, Powhatan. See the Reason for the Season in the inspirational play with live actors and animals. Refreshments served car side before the play and finger foods served inside after the play. All are welcome to fellowship and celebrate.
