Longwood University’s Campus Police and Longwood Title IX office are investigating a sexual assault that allegedly occurred earlier Saturday morning at an on-campus residence.

Officials said in a statement that the departments are investigating a report of a non-stranger sexual assault.

Those with information are urged to contact the Longwood Police Department at (434) 395-2091.

“Remember that consent for sexual activity is active, not passive, and that silence cannot be interpreted as consent,” officials said in the statement.
