JROTC Raider team overall male category champions

The JROTC Raider Team was named the overall Male category champions and the Mixed Team was named runner-up for the Mixed Team category held at Orange County High School. For a Raider Team to be eligible to compete in the Mixed Team Category, the team must have at least four females out of nine Raider members. Raider commanders Tyler Moore and Alyssa Gentry led both teams to first places finishes in Logistics Relay, Litter Carry, Team Physical Fitness Challenge and the five kilometer run. Moore led the all Male Team to a first place finish in Rope Bridge. Moore was named top Male Athlete for the second week in a row.
Competing schools were Fishburne Military School, Harrisonburg High School, Courtland High School, Bedford High School and Spotsylvania High School. DaQuan Tindall was selected to serve as the JROTC Knight Battalion Commander.
The Raider Team traveled to Southern Lee High School in Sanford, North Carolina for the Best of the Best Raider Qualifier on Oct. 13.
