Willie Oertel Jr., 88 of Cumberland, VA passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018. He was the son of Willie Oertel Sr. and Allie Browning Oertel. He was born on September 11, 1930. He was an active member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years. He retired a sergeant of police at Longwood University. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wilma Allen Oertel, brothers; Walter and Robert, sisters; Dorothy Lynn, Gladys Orange, Christine Frazier, Bula Tunstall, Minnie Taylor, Theresa Shelton and Joyce Ingle.

Willie is survived by daughters; Donna Ennis (James), Debbie Nash (Robert), Dottie Dice (Joseph) and a son Willie, grandchildren; Stephanie (Ben), Amber, Robert (Amanda), Megan (Will), Ashley, John, Abbie, Will, four great grandchildren, a sister Eliza Duncan, many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1 p.m. in Cumberland Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in church cemetery. Family received friends on Tuesday, September 18, at Puckett Funeral Home.
