Franklin Delano Watts

Franklin Delano Watts, retired barber and farmer, passed away on September 15, 2018, after a valiant battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Ethel Watts, and his brother, Cecil Grey Watts. He is survived by one brother, William Albert Watts (T. J.) of Keysville; two sisters, Nell Watts Burney of Clarksville and Barbara “Polly” Watts Beard of Keysville; long-time special friend, Audrey Payne of Keysville; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Franklin was a U.S. Navy veteran, a sixteen-year member and officer of the Keysville Ruritan Club, and a member of American Legion Post 260. His happiest moments were spent on the farm gardening, advising, and caring for his dogs and his quail preserve.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 20, at Ontario Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 7- 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, and all other times at the home of Polly Beard, 260 Priddy Street, Keysville, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
