Coach’s game notes: Dukes Head Coach Jamaal Artis used to coach with Raiders Head Coach Joe Daniel at Prince George, giving both men familiarity with how the other works.

Amelia has returned a lot of players from its 2017 playoff squad that finished 8-4. The Raiders have an outstanding receiving corps, featuring 6-foot-2-inch senior Howard Divens and 6-3 senior Ziayahn Jackson. They also have a standout passer in senior Jalen Brown. Anchoring Amelia’s run game is senior Justin Wilson.

Defensively, the Raiders are physical, run to the ball well, and they feature a strong secondary that stars Divens, Jackson and senior William White.

Cumberland will get sophomore tailback/linebacker Vincent Harris Jr. back from injury.

FUQUA (0-2) AT ATLANTIC SHORES CHR. (1-2)

Kickoff: Tuesday, 6 p.m.

Last season: Falcons 38, Seahawks 6

Coach’s game notes: The Falcons and the Seahawks are two of the most evenly matched teams as far as personnel, and they also feature similar offensive and defensive schemes.

The Seahawks may show a variety of looks on defense, and they blitz generously.

On offense, the Seahawks have been operating without starting senior quarterback Camden Walker, who may or may not be back. Junior wide receiver Chase Larmon is the backup quarterback. Key receivers include senior wideout Terrell Heath and junior tight end Jaden Lance. Senior A’rin Cuffee helps facilitate the run game.

Senior Tyler Lacy is a key Seahawks lineman who moves well.

Both teams will try to adjust to a significantly different game day.
