Arrest made in burglaries

A Farmville man was arrested and charged Friday in relation to two commercial burglaries that took place in town Aug. 21, according to a town press release Friday.
The release noted that Antonio Tucker, 20, was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of felony petit larceny and two counts of misdemeanor destruction of property.
Town officials cited in the release that Aug. 21, Farmville Police responded to two commercial burglaries in the 500 and 900 blocks of East Third Street. Upon investigation, it appeared that a single suspect forcibly entered both businesses shortly after 4 a.m., stealing merchandise and money, the officials added.
In conclusion, the release stated that Tucker was being held at the Piedmont Regional Jail with no bond.
