Campers, counselors and family celebrated at the Southside Virginia Family YMCA summer day camp “The Last Blast” party Friday, Aug. 3. The theme of this year’s summer day camp was aptly named “Blast of Summer Camp.” Area youth enjoyed a summer filled with activities both indoors and outdoors. From the first week of June through Aug. 3 day campers enjoyed themed weeks such as Kid Wonder, Around the World, Safari, Beach and more. Parents enjoyed knowing their children were well cared for in a safe and active environment.
