Louise Davis Schultz, 101, formerly of Daleville, went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2018. She was born to Florence and John W. Davis, Sr. on November 24, 1916, in Glen White, West Virginia, grew up in Buckingham County, and graduated from Dillwyn High School and Phillips Secretarial School in Lynchburg. Louise will be remembered as a loving wife and homemaker who followed her husband in his career overseas to South America and Iran, and then they retired in Virginia. She was the wife of the late Vernon Schultz, beloved mother to daughters Donna Major (Tommy) and Sue Moore, and devoted grandmother “Aa” to Jennifer Kuntz (John). She is survived by her brother James K. Davis, sister-in-law Ressie Davis, and many dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers John W. Davis, Jr., Kenneth E. Davis, Jefferson Clyde Davis, and Gordon Maynard Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 27, at Browns Chapel United Methodist Church, 1711 Gravel Hill Road, Dillwyn. The church doors will be opened at 10:30 a.m. for visitation, and burial at Browns Chapel Cemetery will follow the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to Browns Chapel United Methodist Church.
