Lions support children

The Farmville Lions Club recently presented the Town of Farmville a check for $65,000 for the town to purchase and install playground equipment. It is reportedly the largest donation the town has received from a civic organization. Pictured are, from left, Assistant Town Manager Scott C. Davis, Town Manager Gerald Spates, Town Mayor David Whitus, Lions Club President and Ward A Council member Greg Cole and Lions Club member Adam Yoelin. We commend the Farmville Lions Club for their continued and generous support of area children. (Send “Way to Go!” photos with a description and names to WayToGo@FarmvilleHerald.com).
