David Lee Whitaker, 63, died on July 9, 2018 in Brunswick, Georgia.  David was born on January 24, 1955 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and grew up in Farmville,

Virginia.  He attended Nottoway High School, lived most of his adult life in Kissimmee, Florida, and worked as a carpenter.  David was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Durham Whitaker, Jr.; step-father, Ezra Leroy Karn; brother, Lloyd Durham Whitaker, III; and sister, Frances Shelton Whitaker.  He is survived by his mother, Ruth (Betty) Britt Whitaker Karn; sister, Elizabeth Whitaker Atkinson; brother, William Britt Whitaker; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Burial will be in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kissimmee, FL.
