It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Gayle Meek announces her sudden passing on Monday, August 20, 2018. She was born January 16, 1958 in Farmville to John R. Meek Jr. and Beulah Forbes Meek.

At a very early age, the family moved to Virginia Beach where she graduated from Princess Anne High School. In 1998, she moved back home to Buckingham County.

Brenda’s family, friends and church were her passion and where she found happiness. She loved cooking, traveling, spending time with her mother and father and catching up on the busy lives of her niece and nephews.

Brenda was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Buckingham County.

Brenda is survived by her parents, John and Beulah Meek; brother, Chuck Meek and wife, Julia; sister, Susan Moore and husband, William; three nephews, John Tyler Moore, Morgan Meek and Joshua Meek; niece, Rachel Meek; beloved aunt, Audrey “Sis” Mann and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held on August 23, at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
