I take exception to having residents of Powhatan County attempting to influence what occurs in Cumberland County. Carson Tucker, Chairman of the Powhatan County Board of Supervisors attended June 28’s Cumberland Board of Supervisor’s meeting. If he is so concerned about traffic on Route 60, why has the Powhatan board approved the following businesses in the last year or so: Walmart, Bojangles, CVS, Sheetz and currently a new bank? If Powhatan is real nice to us, we may actually accept their waste once our new facility is operational since they obviously don’t mind sending their waste out of their county.
