Mary Edwards Smith, 82, of Buckingham, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Everett “Nick” Smith; daughter, Betty Ann Wallace; step-daughters, Lisa Branch and her husband, Ernest “Bo” Branch and Heather Finley; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martha Miles, Irene Shumaker, Peggy Christian and Nancy Gormus and one brother, John Miles.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 22, at 3 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Buckingham Community Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
