Mary Anne Seay Haver

Mary Anne Seay Haver, 89, of Farmville, formerly of Buckingham died Saturday, July 21, 2018.
She was born December 15, 1928 in Andersonville, a daughter of the late Rice L. Seay Sr. and Mary L. Seay. She graduated from Buckingham Central high School in 1945, and attended the Norfolk Division of William and Mary College, now known as Old Dominion University.
She worked at The Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk as a secretary. In later years, she worked at Seay & Haver Oil Company in Dillwyn, as a secretary and bookkeeper.
Mary Anne was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church at Andersonville and Bethel United Methodist Women where she served as treasurer for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Wilbur A. Haver; her children, Sharon H. Barcalow, Donna H. Bullard, Nathan A. Haver and wife, Sue and William R. “Bill” Haver; six grandchildren and a step-grandson; three sisters, Betty Keith, Jean Hollins and Carolyn Morris and two brothers, Marshall Seay and Earl Seay and many nieces, nephews and treasured friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert A. Seay and Rice L. Seay Jr.; sister, Frances S. Thurman and son-in-law, Ronald Bullard.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel UMC Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice.
