Gerald Spates, town manager of Farmville, was recently bestowed the Stonewall Jackson award for outstanding contribution and dedication to the United Daughter of the Confederacy Farmville 45 Chapter during the 2018 Third District Conference U.D.C., which was held at the Farmville Train Station.
