Mary Phyllis Paulson, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.

She was born on June 11, 1940 in Farmville, Virginia to Frederick J. Paulson and Mary Ruth Atchley Paulson.

Mary Paulson was a resident of Walton County, Florida. She was originally from Virginia, where she was a member of Worsham Baptist Church.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked in customer service for Dominion Virginia Power for over twenty years before retiring. She also worked as a Teacher’s Aide.

Mary Paulson was preceded in death by her father and mother. Mary Paulson is survived by two sons, Joseph Malcohm (Jennifer) Fore, and Mark Anthony (Janet) Fore; two daughters, Del Mariea (Tom) Lorimor, and Tonya Leah Mercier; one sister, Rebecca (Lester) Goin; eight grandchildren, Theron Lorimor, Brandon Lorimor, Austin Fore, Sarah Fore, Kari (Chris) Pope, Krystle (Travis) Wood, Joshua (Christin) Fore, and Aaron Fore; six great-grandchildren, Seersha, Theron Daniel, Dahlia, Caroline, Wyatt, and Colton; and her nieces, Lesley (Rex), and Allison.

A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m, Thursday, June 28, at Shorter Funeral Home, 1905 S. Main Street, Farmville, Virginia. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 29, at Worsham Baptist Church, 6708 Farmville Road, Farmville, with Dr. David Sexton officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Lorimor, Lester Goin, Joshua Fore, Aaron Fore, Austin Fore, and Tom Lorimor. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/ Burial will follow in the Worsham Baptist Church Cemetery.
