Bethlehem Baptist Church is holding a back-to-school clothing drive July 14 from 8 a.m. – noon at the church. They are looking for gently used clothing for children of all ages for their return to school. This is the second annual clothing drive event. It’s a great time to clean out your children’s closets to help another child in the community. For more information, contact Angie Vaughn at (434) 414-6833, Cindy Snoddy at (434) 983-2784 or Venece Sutton at (434) 969-4991.

Be courteous to those around you and do not block others’ view. Outside food and picnic items are welcome. Concessions are also available to support local community organizations. Happy Fourth of July to everyone. I sincerely hope that you enjoy Independence Day with some relaxation and time with those you love. Here’s hoping you have some big fireworks and lots of good food to celebrate.
