Wallace Garland Woodson age 78 of Prospect, VA passed away on May 16, 2018. He was born in Farmville, VA on June 20, 1939 to the late Joseph W. and Margie Southall Woodson. He served his country by joining the US Navy and traveled to 15 countries on a naval tanker. He attended Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Auto Club of Virginia for Antique Cars.

He is survived by his son John Wallace Woodson of Henrico, VA, three daughters; Sandra W. Weldon (Bill), Virginia W. Fulmer (Buren), Deborah Woodson all of Sanford, N.C., one sister Flora Bolt, three grandchildren; Whitney Atkins, Joshua Weldon, Kyle Fulmer, and two great grandchildren; Hank and Lilly Atkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Robert and Merrill Woodson and two sisters; Jean Jaynes and Katherine Woodson.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 6 p.m. in Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends two hours prior to service starting at 4 p.m. at the church.
