The Third Thursday Book Club held its annual spring luncheon at the home of B. Williams. The speaker was R. David Cox, an Episcopal priest and author of The Religious Life of Robert E. Lee. Cox was rector of R.E. Lee Memorial Episcopal Church in Lexington for 13 years. He currently serves as visiting professor of history at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista. In this biography of the famous general, the author shows how Lee’s Christian faith shaped his role in American history. Pictured are, from left, B. Williams, Cox and Beth Woodruff.
