The Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring a Nature Day Camp in partnership with Virginia Cooperative Extension. The camp will be held June 19-21 at Twin Lakes State Park in Farmville, for students currently enrolled in the fifth, sixth and seventh grades. Students residing in Amelia, Nottoway, or Prince Edward counties are eligible to attend. Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., and transportation to and from camp will be available. Lunch will be provided for all campers.

Nature Day Camp activities are both educational and fun. Some of the activities include an investigative hike to study plants and forestry, observing wildlife and testing the water quality of streams.

Registration is required. To register or for more information, contact Deanna Fehrer at (434) 392-3782 ext. 108 or dfehrer@piedmontswcd.org. Registration deadline is Friday, June 8. Spaces are limited so early registration is encouraged.
