Nancy Sheetz Espigh, 82, passed away on April 26, 2018 in Charleston, SC. Born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Nan was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Janet Sheetz. She moved to Hampden-Sydney, Virginia in 1962, where she lived with her husband, Merrill, and three children, Steve, Carolyn (“Taddy”) and Mark, until 2008, when she relocated Charleston, SC.

Nancy, fondly known as “Nan” to her friends, attended Shippensburg State University in Pennsylvania, where she earned her degree in Education. She pursued her passion for teaching in Pennsylvania, Florida, Louisiana and Virginia, and she spoke with love about each of her hundreds of students throughout her life.

A woman of many talents, she was an avid seamstress, cook and reader. She was also an accomplished pianist, and served faithfully as pianist and involved member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But most of all, she enjoyed entertaining and visiting with her grandchildren, and the sun and sand.
