Kait Hosmer has been named a recipient of the 2018 Ross Wagner Engineering Scholarship.

The Scholarship was established to provide scholarships to deserving students seeking degrees at the country’s top engineering schools. Every scholarship recipient receives a benefit of $100,000 paid over four years.

Hosmer, a senior at Prince Edward County High School (PECHS) in Farmville, will be attending Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. She was admitted to its Honors College with plans to pursue biomedical engineering. Hosmer has successfully completed 10 years of National Level Piano Guild and sings with the Commonwealth Chorale. On the Scholastic Bowl Team and Debate team at PECHS, Hosmer has also qualified for the National Level Chemistry Olympiad Test three times since her sophomore year and is an AP Scholar with Distinction.
