Prince Edward County Administrator Wade Bartlett made a point during Tuesday’s board of supervisors meeting to highlight two key upcoming Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) public hearings.
“I usually don’t mention these, but we’ve got a couple that are important,” he said, first mentioning the VDOT public hearing on the Kingsville intersection roundabout.
It is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, from 4-6 p.m. in the County Agriculture & Natural Resources Building at 100 Dominion Drive in Farmville.
“So all the public is welcome to attend that,” Bartlett said. “VDOT would like to hear your input concerning the roundabout. They will have diagrams of the roundabout and the flow of traffic at that.”
The second public hearing Bartlett highlighted is in regard to the VDOT Fiscal Year 19-24 Six-Year Improvement Program. This public hearing will also take place Thursday, April 19, at 4 p.m., and it will be held in the VDOT Ramey Auditorium at 4303 Campbell Ave. in Lynchburg.
“This one’s a little different than we’ve had in the past,” Bartlett said. “It won’t be as in-depth because VDOT has moved to an every-two-year funding process.”
