Tigers lose sixth straight amid difficult stretch

The Hampden-Sydney College baseball team has been facing some of the top NCAA Division I teams in the nation, contributing some losses to its record. The Tigers saw their losing streak reach six games Monday as they fell 11-5 to host Marymount University. Despite the loss, Hampden- Sydney sophomore shortstop Jonathan Triesler went 2-for-4 at the plate, with five RBIs and two runs scored.

On Saturday, Hampden- Sydney dropped a pair of games against sixth-ranked Roanoke College as the Maroons used 20 runs on the day to win 11-4 and 9-3. The Tigers (10-10, 4-3 ODAC) visit Virginia Wesleyan University on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
