Lucy Morton Clark, 86,  died in Staten Island, New York on April 6, 2018. She was born and raised in Farmville, VA. She studied art at Longwood College and at American University. She  was a painter known for her landscapes of Delaware’s estuaries which featured the wild birds that  lived there and of various cacti, flowers and other plants. She drew illustrations for the New York Times gardening section in the early 1980s and sold illustrated charts of herbs and spices.  She is survived by her sons, John Davis Pratt and Allen Sherwood Pratt. She will be buried in Farmville, VA in her family plot.
