Buckingham County High School’s varsity boys soccer team did not get a win in its first two games of the 2018 season, but it showed heart and an ability to be competitive against James River District opponents. John Crews III, above, competes against visiting Central Lunenburg High School in the Knights’ season opener March 15. They fell 4-1 but then took host Nottoway High School to overtime March 19, falling narrowly, 2-1.
