Fuqua band competes in Williamsburg

Led by Fuqua School Band Director Camille Rabon, the Fuqua Middle School Concert Band competed at the “Music in the Parks” competition in Williamsburg. The group won first place in their category and received the highest possible rating of superior. The group also received the Esprit de Corps Award which was given for the attitude, pride and cooperation that they demonstrated while participating in the competition. The middle school concert band is a combined ensemble of the sixth grade band class and the Junior Band. Students worked hard to master their individual parts and worked together to create the best possible music.
