On April 16, Bear Creek Academy will celebrate 10 years of providing special education services for Central Virginia through a Community Outreach Day. In partnership with community organizations in Cumberland, Bear Creek Academy will provide a free cookout lunch for the 200 participants of the Cumberland Mobile Pantry.

Bear Creek Academy was founded in 2008 with nine students to support students reach their academic and behavioral goals. Today it keeps a census of up to 23 students who require Special Education and behavioral support.
