The Veterans of Foreign Wars will have an accredited representative from their Virginia state headquarters available to brief veterans, service members, and their families on VA benefits and to assist them with submitting a claim. The event will be held March 24 at VFW Post 7059 located at 1616 Graham Road, Farmville. The event will start at 9 a.m. Veterans, spouses, families caring for veterans, and those in the military (active, guard, and reserve) who are discharging within one year are all people who may qualify for benefits.

If interested, please bring the DD214 of the veteran, any medical records from their time in the military, marriage and divorce decrees, birth certificates for dependent children, and bank information (for where deposits of VA benefits would be made). All services are provided free of charge and are 100 percent confidential.
