Thomas Edward “Tommy” Speas, 67 of Cumberland, Va. went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Arlie Edward Speas, his aunts and uncles, and stepfather Alvie. He is survived by his mother, Betty Speas Horn; son Barry and daughter-in-law Betty Jo; brother and sisters Ronnie, Bonnie and Connie; stepbrother Bo and stepsisters Wanda and Rita. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends night will be held on Friday, March 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Shorter Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Payne Memorial Methodist Church or Cumberland High School Athletic Department. Shorter Funeral Home is serving the family.
