Well, we said goodbye to February and we welcomed March with its rain and wind. Let’s see if March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.

Congratulations to Chris and Billie Jo Waddell on the birth of their second daughter the first of the week. Grandmother Susan Campbell is very excited.

Steve Bolt accompanied his mother Flora Bolt to the after rehearsal dinner for Stacy Bolt and Andrew Goss on Feb. 23, which was held at the Spring House Restaurant in Appomattox County.

Flora Bolt, grandmother, Steve Bolt and Sharon Canterbury plus other Bolt family members attended the wedding of Andrew Goss and Stacy Bolt at the Spout Spring Baptist Church in Spout Spring. The reception was held at Falling River Country Club. It was a beautiful wedding.

Flora traveled with her son Steve to Standardsville where they attended the funeral of Flora’s brother, the Rev. Robert Woodson. John Woodson, of Henrico, joined them at Zion’s Cross Roads. Garland Woodson and Gene Southall met them in Standardsville. The Rev. Buddy Woodson, a nephew, was one of the ministers. Robert grew up and worked in this area until he went into the ministry. During his 50 years in the ministry he served 14 churches in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. A sister, Flora Bolt, and a brother, Garland Woodson, alone with lots of nieces and nephews, survive him.

Jim and Glenda Yost, of Turbatville, Pennsylvania, grandparents of Alexa Moser, Flora Bolt, Chris Bolt and Alexa, was luncheon guest of Judy Bolt on Sunday following church services.

Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Don Meadows, Fred Floyd, Betty Meadows, Phyllis Fulcher, Shirley Fulcher, Frances Southall, Randy Martin and Betty Jean Bolt.
