Longtime Prince Edward County High School Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach James Scott was recognized Saturday afternoon during halftime of the final Longwood University men’s basketball game of the 2017-18 season. Scott recently retired from coaching basketball after serving as head coach of the Eagles for 37 years — three years at the junior varsity level and 34 at the varsity level. He led the varsity Eagles to 524 wins and three trips to the state’s final four. He will continue to teach and coach tennis at Prince Edward.
