Prince Edward County High School’s varsity girls soccer team took a close game in the first half Friday evening and made it a blowout in the second half, defeating visiting Altavista Combined School 8-2. Senior Natalie Cheyne, pictured above on the right, scored two goals and registered three assists against the Lady Colonels. Lady Eagles Head Coach Madeline Buczek said her players have “definitely improved overall. They connect a lot of passes, they talk a lot, and in the second half, they did it better.” Prince Edward (4-0) hosts Park View High School, of South Hill, on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
