Cozie Mae Sadler, 83, of Green Bay, Va. passed away March 6, 2018 at her home. She was born on Oct. 20, 1934 to the late James B. and Euna White Metcalf. She enjoyed her job working at STEPS in Farmville and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse Iva G. Sadler and two daughters, Rita Shumaker (Ronnie), and Patricia Hawkins.

She is survived by her son Eddie Nelson (Betty), daughter Helen Earnshaw (Andy), two sisters; Blondale Bowman (Riley), Nina King (James), 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and her dog Precious.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 9, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family received friends Thursday, March 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home.
