CHILDREN’S CONSIGNMENT SALE, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday at the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department. Sponsored by the auxiliary. COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT, 11 a.m. at the Straight Street of Buckingham facility, Route 20, next to the Carter G. Woodson Education Complex. Free and open to the public. Accepting any vendors interested in setting up during the event.

FUN AND FELLOWSHIP, 4 p.m. at the Cumberland County Public Library, 1539 Anderson Highway, Cumberland. Baskets are available now at the library and may be previewed on the library website at www.cumberlandcountypubliclibrary.org.

GLOW IN THE DARK EASTER EGG HUNT, 1-4 p.m. at Passion Community Church, Farmville Campus, 382 Fairgrounds Road, Farmville. All ages. Indoor. Visits with the Easter Bunny plus games, a bounce house, face painting, crafts, giveaways and free food. Event to be held rain or shine. ANNUAL USHER’S PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at The Zion Hill Baptist Church titled “The Gospel of Alphabets.” Minister Trenna Gilliam will be the Worship Leader and several special guest singers will be in attendance.

GUEST PREACHER, 11 a.m. at The Forest Baptist Church, Meherrin, will be the Rev. Jesse Gatlin for the month of March, second, third and fourth Sundays.

FIFTH PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY, 11 a.m. at Baptist Union Baptist Church, 125 Baptist Union Road, Dillwyn. Morning worship, 11 a.m. with Pastor Timothy I. Jackson Sr. Luncheon will follow. Afternoon anniversary service will begin at 3 p.m. with the Pastor Faith Jones, gospel choir, ushers and congregation of the Union Branch Baptist Church, Arvonia.

PASSION WEEK at White Oak Grove Baptist Church of Phenix. Services begin Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with prayer and praise service and preaching at 3 p.m. Services will be Monday-Friday evenings. Prayer and Praise from 7-7:30 p.m., with preaching at 7:30 p.m. Different host churches each night.

GRAMMY WINNER TO PERFORM, 7:30 p.m. Grammy winning artist Dom Flemons is set to perform at H-SC as part of the American Acoustic Music Series. This event is sponsored by the Fine Arts Department. The show is free and open to the public, in the Tiger Inn of the Brown Student Center.

APRIL 1

EASTER SERVICES, 6:30 a.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, 2923 Bell Road, Dillwyn. Sunrise service will be followed by breakfast with worship service at 8 a.m. No Sunday School.

CELEBRATE EASTER, 6:45 a.m. at Farmville United Methodist Church on High Street. Sunrise worship will be held at West View Cemetery, followed by a free full breakfast in the church social Hall and an Easter egg Hunt between the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services. JOINT EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6 a.m. hosted by The Cumberland Union Baptist Association of Central Virginia at Bright Hope Center. the Rev. Bobby Jones, Pastor of Sharon Baptist Church and his choir will render the service.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6:30 a.m. at the Nazareth Baptist Church of Phenix with Prayer and Praise testimonials. Preaching begins at 7 a.m. with an inspiring message from Pastor Russell Lomax. Breakfast will be served. All are welcome.
