The Nora Lancaster January 2018 meeting and program was held at the Red Door 104. The “Paint Party” was loads of fun and budding artists emerged as the participants expressed creativity by using acrylic paints to create fields of flowers. Audrey Sullivan, owner of Red Door 104, provided step-by-step instructions. Sullivan demonstrated basic techniques from painting the background to using Q-tips to fashion flower petals and buds. Sullivan also offered tips on mixing paints, shadowing and the use and care of brushes. The ladies were delighted with their art treasures and discovered it’s easy to become absorbed in a painting project. Hostesses were Helen Smith and Connie Moore.
