Prince Edward County High School’s varsity girls basketball team held a sizable lead against visiting Goochland High School on Monday in the James River District tournament championship game, but the Lady Bulldogs staged a rally to come back and win 54-46. The Lady Eagles had defeated Goochland twice during the regular season and claimed the district regular season title. Following Monday’s game, Prince Edward junior point guard Da’Mya Harris, pictured above, was announced as the varsity girls basketball 2017-18 district Player of the Year.
