Gladys Jewel Covington Dowler, 83 of Farmville, VA went to dance with the angels on Feb. 20, 2018. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Dowler and longtime companion of Charlie Handcock of Drakes Branch. She was preceded in death by her father Martin B. Covington and mother Lelia M. Covington, her brother Melvin Covington. She is survived by her son Michael Dowler and wife Beth of Farmville and daughter Darlene Dowler and fiancée Tony Moore of Cartersville, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday Feb. 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
