Four Cumberland County High School varsity wrestlers qualified for the state tournament with their performances over the weekend during the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Region 1B tournament at Riverheads High School.

Dukes junior Kaijhaun Trent placed second in the heavyweight division, sophomore Trequan Trent placed fourth in the 138-pound weight class, senior Kavon Foster placed fifth in the 195-pound class and senior Davidrick Brooks placed sixth in the 132-pound class.

The VHSL Class 1 state wrestling championships will be held Friday and Saturday at the Salem Civic Center. Wrestling begins Friday at 9:30 a.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m.
